The Legal Department was created by the order of the President of King Abdulaziz University in 23/12/1986 G (Rector No. 2131/502 ).
 
The Legal Department has the following responsibilities:
 
  • Follow Issues
  • Staying abreast of issues having legal ramifications for the University
  • Monitoring and responding to relevant complaints and grievances
  • Overseeing and conducting administrative investigations
  • Monitoring contracts and agreements
  • Soliciting suggestions for issues to be reviewed in a legal context
  • Promulgating and recording regulations and decisions
  • Reviewing other related legal matters and taking action when deemed necessary
